My holidays (again!)

Hi! Yeah, haven't been posting for a while because we went to Wellington to see the World of Wearable Art (also known as Wow). It was so cool! There were loads of cool, weird, colourful, funny and crazy outfits! Some of them even lit up! There were categories of the different outfits: the south pacific , the children's section ,the "illumination Illusion section, the open section, the "Avant Garde" section (inspired by the circus), the creative excellence section and the "Bizarre Bra" section.  I think the weirdest section was the "Bizarre Bra" section. Some of those bras were weird as.


P.S: Dave, did your wife win anything, oh, and I liked the outfit she designed!  

Seals!

So seals were so cute! What I'm talking about is the seals in Kaikoura. You've probably heard of them they were on the news. Anyway one weekend (can't remember when) we went to go see the seals. It's only a five minute walk  and you can go up so close to them. Literately, you could basically touch them! But you can't, apparently they bite! 

Flip

Hey, have you heard? Hm... No guess not, well Flip died. I know sad, isn't it? Dave said he could of been three years old for all we knew. When we found him he felt stiff and cold so some of us think he froze to death. Well goodbye Flip.

My brother

Okay, you might think this is weird, writing about my brother, but Dave told us to! (Sorry!) Well, we have to write about fighting with a brother or sister. So I chose to write about my brother. Josh and I are extremely close friends, but there is a down side, we fight a lot! Not physically, but verbally. We fight to extreme levels like talking about our embarrassing moments,calling each other rude names, and sometimes to the point when we feel so emotionally hurt we want to give up on them and leave home. But that's never happened, and it never will. 

Dave says that our family bond is so close that we actually feel safe fighting with each other (though seriously I've never felt it that way) and we only start fighting about a lost book or something ridiculous like that. It's weird how love works. Isn't it?

Mice!!!

I think it was a couple of weeks ago but we have mice! They're so cute too! 
Their names are Flip (male), Oats (female) and Inky (female). Oats is a short haired, brown mouse. Inky is a long haired, black and white mouse and Flip is a long haired brown and white mouse. 
Dave and I got them from Natureland. Well... Dave held a vote to see who would go with him. Rohan T, Harry and I were the people to get the most votes and I guess I um.......... Won? 

When we first saw them I was amazed. There were so many mice in so many colours. Oats and Inky stood out for me because they were really, really active. They were running around like they were seeing a house on fire! I'm so glad we got them. 

Tasting Lemonade

Mmm...... That was good. We've tried our lemonade, but it tastes like beer! It tastes very good considering it tastes like beer. 
When we got into the classroom to feel the bottles on Monday, they felt as hard as rock! 
When we opened them... They turned all soft, just like when they were empty. 
Hamish and I haven't finished our bottle; it's still half full!!! 
I'm glad we made lemonade. Plus Dave said we might be making ginger beer next. I wonder what that will taste like! 
Hmm..... I can't wait!!   

Lemonade!!!

In our class today we made lemonade. We had to collect all the stuff - 1.5 litre bottles, lemons ... everything. Anyway we got to make it in the end! 
We all got partners to work with; my partner was Hamish. Luke and Rohan O were teaching us but they made a mistake so now we're sort of scared it's not going to work out.......
Even if it doesn't work out it was still fun to make. We have to wait four days until it's ready and today's Thursday so we have to wait until Monday next week. I can't wait!

Twiggy the cat

Twiggy is a cat. By now you should know that. Twiggy is a sable or brown cat; Georgie said she's a female (no idea how she identifies it). 
Twiggy is probably the weirdest cat you'll ever hear about. Come on! She drinks out of the toilet! Oh yeah, ever heard of a cat that actually likes water? No, didn't think so. Anyway I love Twiggy like anything. Oh! Twiggy's walking past right now. There's this huge mirror in the lounge and Twiggy looks at her reflection. Usually Twiggy just stares at it in a 'what are you looking at?' sort of way. I wish I could show you a photo but we actually don't have a picture of her on the computer. I'll try to work on that.   ;)

At home

Hey I'm just going to tell you about my life at home.It is quite loud because I've got a little brother and sister I've also got a big sister, but she isn't noisy or anything. So my life is actually quite interesting, if you think about it. I get annoyed because of the noise, once I got 2 ear infections. It hurt like anything; I had to have cotton balls in my ears for weeks! But that's another story. 
Sometimes I wish I was an only child; well it's cool and stuff but you get annoyed with your siblings a lot, and when I say a lot I mean a lot! The best thing about having siblings is that you're never lonely; I always have someone to talk with or argue with. Just one big, happy family.

My holidays

Oh, man! My holidays were awesome. I reckon my family and I did just about everything we wanted. Plus I found out I'm a natural at ice-skating! Then again I've been good at most of the snow sports I've done; skiing, sledding , tobogganing and going so fast that the skin on your face is peeling off . (It feels awesome!!! No don't listen it might only feel awesome for me, but who knows it could sound fun to you. I don't recommend it. That isn't a snow sport it's just me describing how fast I go down a mountain when I'm not being supervised).
We also went to Timaru to see our grandparents. I found out that our favourite lolly shop shut down! Boo hoo! Well I accepted it after about 5 hours. My birthday was in the holidays. On the last day of the holidays Georgie and I went ice skating. It was fun!! We saw a frozen fish; weird... It was big; I didn't know what type of fish it was. It was about 30 cms, yellowish with grey fins and tail. If you know tell me please!!!!!!!!

River Sculpture

A few weeks ago we went down to Maitai River to make this sculpture and nobody knew who made it!   We worked really hard but it was worth it. We are going to go fix it up a little bit,  pretty cool isn't it! You can go down to see it.

Shhhhhh... keep it a secret!! =)
